Quantitative Research at FVN focuses on the development, testing, and refinement of investment signals for systematic strategies. The work begins with a market hypothesis and only advances when the underlying relationship can be defined, measured, and challenged through data. FVN does not approach signals as short-term predictions, but as research claims that require economic rationale, statistical evidence, and relevance under realistic market conditions.
Quantitative Research
Systematic signal research for market-realistic investment strategies.
Signal Research
A signal must have a reason to exist before it becomes part of the research process. We translate economic intuition into measurable variables, test their behavior across time and market environments, and review whether the observed relationship remains meaningful after risk, turnover, and implementation constraints are considered. The objective is not to produce isolated backtests, but to identify relationships that can support disciplined investment research.
Research Standard
Each idea is evaluated through empirical testing, robustness review, and portfolio-level interpretation. Signals are not assessed only by statistical output, but by whether they remain economically plausible, stable across regimes, and relevant to a broader investment process. Research that fails this standard is discarded; research that survives it becomes part of FVN’s documented signal infrastructure.
Long-Term Direction
FVN is building a proprietary research platform for systematic investment research. The platform is designed to support signal documentation, internal research notes, strategy development, and future institutional research products. The long-term objective is a process that is repeatable, scalable, and difficult to imitate.
